Job Requirements
•3-5 years of experience in public relations or communications. (Required)
•At least two years of agency PR experience with multiple accounts and projects. (Preferred)
•At least one year of experience in the technology or energy sector. (Preferred)
•Bachelor's in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field. (Required)
•Candidates must reside in the Austin area and be willing to work from the firm’s office daily. This is not a remote position.

•Knowledge of AP Style.
•Ability to proofread and deliver assignments free of spelling and grammar errors.
•Excellent communications and presentation skills•Strong leadership and a high degree of independence while still functioning within a team-oriented environment.
•Experience working directly with energy and environmental journalists, from top-tier outlets to trades, and be well versed in the top energy and environmental stories in the news a plus.
•Tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans, as well as proactively pitching media outlets on an ongoing basis.
•Ability to maintain and develop key media contacts.
•Must be able to grasp technical concepts and translate them to written pieces, such as articles, press releases, blogs, social media posts, and more.
•Experience working with desktop publishing and media databases a plus.
•Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
