Job Description

Looking to add a full-time Senior Account Executive (SAE) to the INK Austin office who will effectively manage projects, keep client programs organized, and step in for the manager when needed. The SAE will own programs and projects within accounts, delegate tasks and display responsibility directly to the client. You'll also lead projects and small client accounts with help and oversight from senior team members. You'll be very involved in the planning process and media strategy, and also work with content and social teams to ensure on-strategy content and social programs. Additionally, you should demonstrate your ability to:

  • Develop strong relationships and a broad understanding of the media market in which our clients play and advise the manager or client on media strategy.
  • Organize pitching and follow up with the team.
  • Write client-ready press releases and blogs.
  • Work with more junior teammates to add to the quality of coverage reports, speaker abstracts, media lists and other baseline programs.
  • Begin to participate in new business proposals and pitches.

Candidate Qualities

  •  Ability to identify and establish strong relationships with media and influencers
  • Ability to write compelling content for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to problem-solve, apply sound judgement, and delegate within team environment
  • Ability to contribute to integrated communications plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on 3-4 accounts simultaneously

Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience in driving smart, tactical execution of client programs
  • Exposure or experience managing projects or small accounts
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and interns
  • 4+ years of communications experience in an agency or similar setting
