Job Description:

anthonyBarnum Public Relations is looking for an account supervisor with at least five years of experience to join its growing team in Austin. The account supervisor is responsible for managing several campaigns autonomously. At this level, the account supervisor is charged with executing the campaign strategy aligned with the business and marketing priorities of the client organization. The account supervisor serves as both advisor and leader on the totality of the campaign and is ultimately responsible for campaign outcomes. Account supervisors also oversee training of junior staff.

The role of account supervisor has a variety of responsibilities integral to maintaining key client and media relationships, including – but not limited to – the following:

  • Execute and manage total programs for clients based on strategic analysis of their campaign objectives, which may be created in collaboration with an account director or vice president of PR.
  • Lead and oversee numerous campaigns simultaneously.
  • Create timelines for executing campaigns and manage internal team resources to do so.
  • Delegate components of campaigns to junior staff based on agency framework.
  • Execute on the highest levels of the campaign and support in media relations.
  • Maintain responsibility for all campaign work product delivered to the client.
  • Ensure hours and campaigns are maximized to benefit the client.
  • Manage and increase, when needed, budgets of campaigns.
  • Begin efforts to conceptualize the total execution of a campaign – from conceptualization to delivery and timelines of tactics.
  • Contribute to firm’s marketing and processes.

Candidate Qualities: Excellent writing skills; strong organizational skills; experience managing teams; exudes professionalism
Candidate Qualifications: Bachelors in public relations, communications, or related field. 5 + years experience in an agency environment. Alternatively, with 10+ years experience, we will train and transition high-caliber non-tech PR professionals, broadcast journalists and public affairs experts into technology PR campaign leaders.
