Student Grants

PRSA Austin provides PRSSA chapter members with financial assistance to allow them the opportunity to attend the PRSSA National Conference. While there is no limit to the number of applications a chapter may submit, only one grant is awarded to each chapter. The grant does not cover travel and incidental costs for the trip.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

1. Be a current member of PRSSA;
2. Submit an application form completed and signed by the candidate and his/her faculty or professional advisor;
3. Include an original essay of up to 250 words that demonstrates his/her interest in pursuing a career in public relations and why the student wants to attend the convention; and
4. A current résumé.
5. If selected as a recipient of the award, the winner must be able to attend one PRSA Austin board meeting following the conference to provide a summary of the experience and what he/she learned.

Please note: All materials must be typed, and no materials other than those specified will be reviewed or considered by the judges. The official entry form is enclosed.
